What do you mean by

"lifestyle"

newborn session?

When I take newborn photos for you, I take more of an approach of capturing this new stage of life for your entire family. While I will take some photos of just your newborn, my goal and hope is to primarily take photos of you snuggling that sweet, tiny baby. To see how you, as parents, have fallen completely in love with your child.

With that being said, just know that most of the "posing" will involve you holding your baby in some capacity, rather than intricate wraps and positioning. While I 100% love and admire that style as well, I feel most confident in using the lifestyle approach for my own work!

FAQ

How long is a session?

Typically, I try to set aside 2-3 hours for a newborn session. Since there are so many changes in that first couple weeks of life, it's hard to know exactly when the baby will want to eat + will feel happiest or sleepiest. This time frame allows us to not feel rushed if we need to stop for a feeding, change a diaper, soothe and settle your little one, etc.

Where does the session take place?

Most often, families choose to do a lifestyle newborn session in their own home. However, I have taken newborn + family photos in a greenhouse, at a park, and other locations. This is entirely up to you and the look you want for your photos! If you worry your home doesn't offer the best space or light, feel free to email me and I'll have you shoot me a video tour of your home to see if we can make it work!

How much will it cost?

This varies based on the length of session that we agree is best and if any significant distance is required to travel to your home, but typically I charge $425.
