Hailey & Landon's Engagement Session - Wichita, KS
I couldn't have asked for a better time than the evening I spent with Landon and Hailey as we took their engagement photos around Wichita! We started downtown, and their session was truly timed perfectly, because a few short days after we took these photos, the fun chaos of Wichita's Riverfest - a week of closed off streets and all sorts of vendors + businesses and commotion going on everywhere - would descend. While awesome for our city, NOT ideal for quiet and intimate engagement photos. Ha! But thankfully, we were able to time it right AND the skies held off on the downpour of rain that came shortly after as well, and we had a magical window of time to capture the love these two share.
I hadn't ever used the spot below (until their session), but from times driving by, I had this vision of a shot from across the street that allowed for the stunning building to shine but let them really pop in the middle. Always grateful when the street is clear enough of cars to make the magic happen!
We hopped over to one more spot downtown that was new to me, and I loved how the photos turned out! It was also much quieter over here and more removed from the main streets, which is a relief to not have to shout poses & prompts over zooming motorcycles, and it also let Hailey and Landon relax a little more without any onlookers around.
After downtown, we took a short drive over to Hailey's family's property! This is my third time shooting here, and I've said it before (so I'll say it again), what a gorgeous and peaceful place they have. I of course loved getting the classy city vibe for their photos as well, but being out in nature has my heart.
Hailey and Landon, I am so happy for you all, and just from this little stretch of time with you, I can tell your marriage is going to be one full of laughter + fun and will be the sweetest love story as the years go by. Thank you for letting me be part of this special chapter!!
